Shrimp and Garlic Cream Sauce

I'm a seafoodie, is that even a thing? I don't know but I love seafood and it sounds like that could be a thing. I especially love shrimp since it's easy and quick to make. This shrimp and garlic cream sauce is to delicious and the fact that you can pair it with so many things makes is such a flexible dish. You can serve this as an appetizer with French bread or make a meal of it with pasta, rice, vegetables or a salad. The rich creamy, garlic sauce will make you want to make a double batch. Ingredients
  • 1 pound of shrimp cleaned and deveined (i used jumbo)
  • 2-3 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil (I used grape seed oil)
  • Pinch of Salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon salt free all purpose seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon
Directions
  • Step 1 1. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, salt free all purpose seasoning
  • Step 2 2. Heat oil in pan on medium heat. When pan is hot, add shrimp
  • Step 3 3. Cook 2-3 minutes on both sides and remove from pan
  • Step 4 4. On medium low heat, add butter to pan. When butter has melted, add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant
  • Step 5 5. Add heavy cream, mix well and simmer for 1 minute
  • Step 6 6. Add chicken broth and parmesan cheese. Stir and let thicken to your desired consistency
  • Step 7 7. Add salt and red pepper flakes to taste
  • Step 8 8. Squeeze 1/2 lemon and add parsley
  • Step 9 9. Toss in shrimp and mix well
